Dr. Darryl Brown serves as Director, Doctor of Public Health Program in Health Policy and Social Justice, and Assistant Professor, Health Management and Policy, at Drexel University School of Public Health.
He has taught health evaluation research at Arcadia University and Rutgers University Newark/University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey. His health care research experience is extensive, including work for the New Jersey Department of Health, Center for Health Statistics; University of Pennsylvania Medical School; and Temple University Health System. Research interests include patient-reported outcomes and quality of care research, cost and comparative effectiveness, and administrative data analyses. He has conducted applied health economics research funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
His research is published in peer-reviewed journals, and presentations include the Health Outcomes Group, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as well as national association meetings.
Dr. Brown serves as a reviewer for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality; National Institutes of Health; and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. His degrees include a BS in Community Development from Pennsylvania State University, an MPA in Health Policy and Management from New York University Wagner School of Public Service; and a PhD in Health Services and Outcomes Research from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
